Project Description
This project is a part of Royal Borough of Greenwich Term Alliance Contract as part of their ambitious promise to deliver 750nr council homes.
Palmerston Crescent provides two fully adapted wheelchair homes, the 1st is a 3bedroom 5person and the 2nd is a 2bedroom 4person home. These properties are designed as M4(3) compliant homes benefiting from rise and fall kitchens, level access wet rooms and the like. These houses were constructed using structurally insulated panels (SIPs) which are constructed offsite in a factory before being delivered to site and pieced together. The site was a disused garage site with history of anti-social behaviour. The dwellings were carefully designed to with an asymmetric roof to ensure no light loss to the adjacent properties gardens.
These properties are for social rent by the Royal Borough of Greenwich and boast Net Zero Carbon credentials meaning users of the homes will have minimal energy costs from the Solar PV, ASHP, and MVHR systems utilised for powering and heating the property.
