Project Description
Blakeney Leigh Limited were commissioned by Royal Borough of Greenwich to provide all professional services in relation to design, cost and contract management services for the Alexander McLeod Primary School – Block C Refurbishment which was carried out in conjunction with the 2019/2020 Planned Maintenance Programme at Schools in the Borough.
Block C was a 1970’s modular building which was at the end of its current lifespan until the refurbishment works were carried out.
Refurbishment included new rear elevation design to improve the classroom environment. Full internal refurbishment including strip out, electrics, lighting, new surfaces, new classroom sink units, toilet cubicles, fire doors, fire stopping windows, blinds, redecorations, flooring, fire stopping. External works included roof replacement (co-ordinated and carried out under the 2019/2020 Planned Maintenance Programme), rainwater goods replacement, cladding replacement & repair and external redecorations and repair
